Privacy policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This page explains what Earful collects, why, and who else handles it. Short version: we keep only what we need to run scans, deliver reports and get paid, and we don't sell or rent anyone's data.

What we collect

  • Your Google account basics: name and email address, when you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.
  • What you order: the store links you submit, the reports and scans you buy, and when.
  • Payment details from Polar: the payment ID, amount and status. Your card number goes to Polar, never to us.
  • Technical data: IP address and request logs, used to keep the service running and to stop abuse.

How we use it

To run the scans and reports you ask for, email you the result, answer your questions, handle refunds, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the records the law requires for sales. We send no marketing email unless you ask for it.

Public reviews in reports

Reports are built from reviews that people published on the App Store and Google Play. We don't include reviewer names in reports, and we quote only short passages.

Who else handles data

  • Polar: payments and receipts, as merchant of record.
  • Google: sign-in. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts.
  • Resend: sends the emails that deliver your reports.
  • Cloudflare: hosts the website and routes email sent to our support address.
  • Oracle Cloud: hosts the server and database.
  • AI service providers: process the public review text during analysis. Your own account details are not sent to them.

Some of these companies process data outside your country, including in the United States.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in, your browser keeps a session key in local storage so you stay signed in; signing out removes it. Google's sign-in button may set its own cookies.

How long we keep it

Account, order and report data are kept while your account is in use and as long as needed for accounting. Server logs are kept for a short period, and database backups for 14 days.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and reports. Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with. We may keep payment records where the law requires it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we'll tell customers by email.
